The notification lists place-of-posting mapped to post codes, with project locations including Rajasthan (Rampura Agucha Mines/Debari), Malanjkhand, Ranchi, Burnpur, Bangalore, Nasik, Bokaro, Vizag, Bacheli, Nagarnar, Durgapur, Bhilai, Bellary, Rourkela, Donimalai, Paradip and others.

Application process and required documents

Applications must be submitted online only via MECON’s careers portal between 3 October 2026 and 17 October 2026. No other mode of submission is permitted. Applicants must upload specified documents in the prescribed formats and sizes.

• Recent passport-size colour photograph (JPG/JPEG, max 40 KB).
• Scanned signature in blue/black ink (JPG/JPEG, max 40 KB).
• Self-attested scanned copies (PDF) of age proof, educational certificates, all semester/year mark sheets or consolidated mark sheet, work experience documents, PAN, Aadhaar, and category-specific certificates (PwD, EWS, Ex-servicemen, J&K domicile, Meritorious Sportsperson) as applicable.
• Multiple documents should be merged into a single PDF not exceeding 1 MB; files must be legible and not password-protected.
• If the Aadhaar number entered online does not match the uploaded Aadhaar card, the application will be rejected. No modifications are allowed after submission.

Selection process and travelling allowance

Selection is by Personal Interview (subject to management discretion) after scrutiny of applications. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via MECON’s website and registered email. Document verification and medical examination are mandatory prior to appointment.

• List of candidates called for interview, and final selection list, will be published on MECON’s website and communicated by email.
• Scrutiny is undertaken on the date of interview; candidates whose claims are not substantiated will not be interviewed and no TA will be paid.
• Outstation candidates appearing for interview are reimbursed TA for III Tier A/C (3A)/CC by rail, or ₹7 per km by road, or actual expenditure whichever is less, subject to production of tickets/receipts/boarding pass. Internal candidates are governed by company rules.

Salary and benefits

Consolidated monthly pay varies by post and experience slab. In addition to consolidated pay, MECON provides allowances and benefits as per policy for FTFT engagements.

• Consolidated pay range: ₹41,190 to ₹78,390 per month depending on post and experience slab.
• Site/Metro Allowance: 7.5% of pay for site postings, 2.5% for metro postings.
• Annual increment: 3% of consolidated pay (rounded to next ten rupees).
• Medical facilities: OPD/IPD coverage at Ispat Hospital for Ranchi postings; retainer doctor consultations and reimbursement of annual Mediclaim premium up to ₹15,000 in other locations.
• Accommodation: company/client residential accommodation where available or HRA at 5% of consolidated pay if not availed.
• Leave provisions: Casual Leave, Earned Leave, Half Pay Leave and applicable holidays; maternity leave as per rules.
• Group Personal Accident Policy: sum insured of ₹25 lakhs.
